Winter Activities, Grand Lodge Bus Tour & the MDC

Brothers near and far

I have just come home from a very pleasant dinner meeting with about a dozen members of my lodge. For the last several years we have been holding these meetings while the lodge is 'dark' in January and February. The brothers who are not “Snow Birds” get together in an informal setting, have a nice meal and chew the fat.

Sometimes even a little lodge business get's done. I highly recommend activities such as this. Informal get-togethers can stimulate and invigorate our fraternal ties. Its those ties that induce most of us to remain Freemasons.

Before you know it, Grand Lodge will be upon us. For those of you who plan on using the Oswego District's room & bus package, please contact me for details. I am taking the reservations & deposits. If you wait until after April 1 it will cost an extra 20 bucks.

Another reminder, I will provide a Road to the East course for any first time master in the district. This is training they really should have. The sooner I know who they are to be the easier it will be to schedule the training.

Lastly, I am planning on running the MDC course in Oswego in March. Contact me for dates.

Hope to see you soon in Lodge.
